New global navigation, attendee management module and mobile integration for Lanyon Meetings and Events designed to make planners’ jobs easier

Lanyon, the leader in corporate meetings, events, and travel software, has announced the Summer Release of the Smart Events Cloud® at the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) conference in Orlando. The release is designed to make the planning and execution of meetings and events even easier with a primary focus on a newly designed interface and navigation, and a completely new attendee management module.

The summer release of the Lanyon Smart Events Cloud includes the following:

A new, intuitive global navigation and user interface: Navigation is now based on the event life cycle, which simplifies the entire meeting and event process into logically ordered key components, and is designed to increase user efficiency, and adoption.

Completely redesigned attendee management module for meetings and events: Lanyon has made it easier than ever to plan, design and manage the entire process from website, to theme builder through to registration and reporting.

Configurable event themes: Event and meeting planners can now choose from an existing library of themes or edit a template to create a new, customised theme for their next event. The theme designer feature also automatically previews designs on desktops, tablets and mobile devices—in order to see exactly what registrants will see.

Mobile integration: With the increased usage of mobile devices by attendees, integrated into the Smart Events Cloud is Lanyon’s new secure and easy-to-use mobile application, Lanyon Mobile (formerly GenieConnect). The app improves the attendee experience before, during, and after the meeting or event, and helps deepen engagement between organiser and attendees.

“Over the last 18 months, we have undergone a significant transformation by bringing together some of the industry’s leading technologies that make the Lanyon of today the only comprehensive solution for managing meetings, events, and travel,” said David Bonnette, CEO of Lanyon. “The summer release of the Smart Events Cloud marks a major milestone in our commitment to build world-class software that delivers proven value to our customers and the industry. We have put a particular focus on the user experience for meeting planners and designed the tools to be easy to use and mobile friendly. This is vital as we help companies consolidate their programmes and drive adoption around the globe. By streamlining everything from attendee registration, to sourcing hotels and powerful mobile applications, our software makes the planning and executing of meetings and events smarter and easier.”
